Earlexia M. Norwood, M.D. is the Physician-in-Charge of the Henry Ford Medical Center-Troy, and the Northern Region Division Head of Family Medicine for Henry Ford Health System (HFHS). Dr. Norwood has been recognized as one of "Detroit's" Top Docs in Detroit's HOUR Magazine, and Detroit's Who's Who. She serves as the chair for the Detroit Digital Empowerment Council (DEC), the "Your Journey to Wellness" Initiative for HFHS, and 1st Vice-President for the Jackson State University National Alumni Association. She is a member of the National Medical Association House of Delegates Council on Medical Legislation, American College of Executive Physicians, American Academy of Family Medicine, American Medical Association, Alliance for Digital Equality, and the Henry Ford Medical Group Board of Governors. Dr. Norwood is a faculty professor for Wayne State University Medical School, and Preceptor for the University of Detroit Mercy and Oakland University. She is a graduate of the W.E.B. DuBois Honors College of Jackson State University in Jackson, MS, and the University of Iowa Medical School in Iowa City, IA.
