Ms. Vélez provides Marketing services for ADE. She contributes to the preparation and coordination within the Marketing Department. She also works on developing a strong ADE presence in Latino communities by researching Latino opportunities in all DEC cities, identifying potential partnership opportunities with Latino organizations across the country, establishing strong relationships with key Latino leaders, and translating marketing materials into Spanish. Marcela is a detail oriented professional with over 4 years of experience as a technical writer in the tax and technology industry.

Ms. Vélez is a native of Colombia, South America. She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Berry College in Rome, Georgia, where she was awarded a full tennis scholarship. Upon graduating from college, she completed a 3-semester Translation Certification from Georgia State University. She is currently pursuing an MBA with a Marketing concentration from Southern Polytechnic State University.
