Claire Harleston, a native of South Carolina, provides LearningWOW program services for ADE. She manages the implementation through collaboration with Qualcomm to develop the blueprint and best practices for curriculum development of the LWOW Wireless Reach Program. Claire is the LWOW liaison with Clayton County Public Library, Clayton County Public Schools, and Tutor.com. Claire is a results oriented professional with over 20 years experience leading, consulting and supervising the successful design and implementation of major product, sales and technical training initiatives. As a Senior Education Specialist/Team Leader at IBM, Claire identified skill gaps, proactively worked to close skills gaps while leveraging team resources to balance workload and communicated results to sales executives. Claire has also worked with Atlanta Public Schools as a Learning Consultant developing and delivering tutoring programs to improve ninth grade students’ grades in core subjects.
Claire graduated from Clark-Atlanta University with an M.B. A. in Finance and Fisk University with a B.S. in Management. She also received a certification in Adult Learning Principles from Vanderbilt University. Claire is a member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She also volunteers with the American Cancer Society and Gregg’s Food Panty Outreach.
