Digital Broadband Empowerment: Bridging the Educational Divide

The Alliance for Digital Equality (ADE) is a non-profit consumer advocacy organization that serves to facilitate and ensure equal access to technology in underserved communities. This workshop will center around the importance of broadband access and its role in providing affordable and quality education in our minority communities to help bridge the educational divide in our nation and abroad. Broadband and wireless technologies are the enablers for distance learning and the Internet, leveling the playing field for colleges and universities to compete on a greater scale, overcoming traditional obstacles in size, location, and costs.
