Challengers Boys and Girls Club

Challengers Boys & Girls Club has been widely recognized as being one of the most successful youth outreach organizations in the nation dedicated to promoting the optimal social development for at-risk youth ages 6 to 17. This is accomplished by providing positive and constructive alternatives to alienation and juvenile delinquency through a comprehensive program of personal and educational development; parent involvement; academic enrichment; health and physical education; and various social and recreational activities, all designed to motivate, educate and elevate the children and teens of South Central Los Angeles to become responsible, caring, productive adults. A chartered member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Challengers has provided critical services for more than 35,000 at-risk and economically disadvantaged youth since its inception in 1968. http://www.cbgcla.org/#/home/
