Roger Salazar - Deputy Communications Director

Roger Salazar is a former White House and Gubernatorial communications specialist who brings a broad scope of media relations, public affairs and crisis communications experience at the national, state, and local levels to Acosta|Salazar. Salazar served as national spokesman for the 2004 Democratic presidential primary campaign of U.S. Senator John Edwards (D-NC) and was press secretary for California Governor Gray Davis' successful re-election campaign in 2002. Salazar’s experience as a media spokesperson includes other prominent officials such as President Bill Clinton (White House Press Office); Vice President Al Gore (Office of the Vice President and Gore 2000); U.S. Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman (Deputy Press Secretary); and U.S. Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard (Press Secretary). Fluent in Spanish, Salazar was recognized as one of the "100 Most Influential Hispanics in America" by Hispanic Business Magazine in October 1999.
