Marvell R. Mitchell - Board of Advisors

Marvell R. Mitchell is the managing partner of Mitchell Technology Group LLC, a Memphis-based firm that installs computer networks for businesses and distributes computer hardware and software. Before establishing Mitchell Technology Group LLC, Mr. Mitchell served as district sales manager for Digital Equipment Corporation in Memphis from 1986 to 1995. Earlier in his career he served as a marketing manager at IBM Corporation.

Mr. Mitchell was selected by the Governor of the State of Tennessee as a member of the Tennessee Educational Lottery Board of Directors, where he chairs the Minority Procurement Committee. Mr. Mitchell also serves on the Board of Directors for the Black Business Association of Memphis, the Board of Directors of both the Memphis Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as Leadership Memphis. Mr. Mitchell is a member of the Southwest Tennessee Community College Foundation Board as well as the University of Tennessee Chancellors Round Table. A native of Memphis, Mr. Mitchell holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Memphis. He is also a member of the State of Tennessee Lottery Commission.
