Cynthia R. Miller - Deputy Director Special Projects

Ms. Miller, a native of Charleston, South Carolina, is the Deputy Director in charge of The Alliance’s special projects, partnerships, conferences and relationship development as well as assisting the Executive Director in the firm’s day-to-day operations. Additionally, Ms. Miller is the founder of Miller Communications Company, a marketing communications, public relations and event management firm dedicated to partnering with organizations who seek to maximize their marketing investment. An accomplished executive, Ms. Miller has had an extensive career as an entrepreneur in the fields of retail sales, real estate, marketing and management. Previously, Ms. Miller has worked in the corporate environment holding positions in Marketing and Sales Management with American Express, Honeywell and IBM. As a broadcaster, Ms. Miller hosted a weekly radio talk show focusing on health and wellness issues targeting African American listeners.

Ms. Miller earned an MBA with honors from Clark Atlanta University and graduated from Spelman College earning a BA in Economics. She is a licensed real estate agent in the State of South Carolina.
