Brian Bradford - Director

Brian Bradford is Director of Strategic Consulting for clean technology venture GridPoint Inc. He is charged with communicating to utilities, legislators and the green community, the value of the paradigm shift that smart grid technology will deliver to the electric utility industry and the lives of everyone connected to the US power grid.

Prior to joining GridPoint, Brian Bradford was the Director of Strategic Planning and Business Development for NSTAR Electric and Gas Corporation. At NSTAR, he also served as President of NSTAR Communications Inc., a non-regulated fiber optic communications development and construction subsidiary. Brian held previous roles as a strategy and new business development consultant and he developed the weather derivative business and wrote the business plans for the pulp and paper trading and clean energy businesses for Mirant Corporation. Before moving to Atlanta in 2001, Brian held a 7 year career at Enron Corporation where he developed strategy and new business opportunities with Enron Broadband Services, Enron Finance and Enron South America where he served as an expatriate in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Brian received a B.S. in Economics with concentrations in Finance and Multinational Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and received his MBA from Harvard Business School. Brian has served on the Board of Directors of the Houston Area Urban League, NSTAR Communications Inc., NeuCo Inc., and the Phillips Academy Executive Alumni Council. Brian, his wife and daughter reside in Alexandria, Virginia.
